Printing Instructions
Things you need:
A good color laser printer or inkjet printer.
For T-Shirts (T-Shirt Transfer material Avery #8939). Follow instructions on package.
For Bumper sticker (Office Depot #922-811 | there are two per sheet- 4.25×11 ea). Clear overlaminate (Office Depot - GBC SelfSeal Letter size clear laminating sheets)
Scissors or a paper cutter.
Directions bumper sticker:
First, download your design from pc-is-bs.com. The downloads are good for T-shirts, bumper stickers, etc. If your using the Office Depot bumper sticker material you can print 2 designs at a time. Set-up your printing template in your favorite page layout program (it’s really a no-brainer to do).
TEMPLATE INSTRUCTIONS FOR OFFICE DEPOT BUMPER STICKER MATERIAL:
Set-up an 8.5×11 page. Make a guide down the middle (long ways). You will have two 4.25×11. Place your design/s on each 4.25×11. Resize the design as you desire for best fit. Remember to allow for your specific printers margins.
Printing:
If necessary, print a test page using plain paper. Adjust the image to accommodate your printers margins. (Most printers have margins where they can not physically print)
Check the stickers before you put them in the inkjet/laser printer. If using a manual feed, make sure the stickers go in straight.
Once printed, cut the two halves of the bumper sticker apart. You will now have two stickers with the backing still on them. Trim the bumper stickers out leaving the backing on.
The Office Depot bumper stickers are water proof, but your ink/toner probably isn’t. I recommend adding a layer of clear overlaminate to protect it.
Cut a section of clear overlaminate that is larger than the bumper sticker at least 1/4″.
You will make a “sandwich” with these 3 items: ( Keep in mind, the overlaminate and it’s backing will overhang all sides of the bumper sticker).
1. (top bread) The clear overlaminate will be on top with the adhesive side facing down to adhere to the face of the bumper sticker.
2. (meat) The bumper sticker (with the bumper sticker backing still on) in the middle facing up.
3. (bottom bread) The overlaminate backing paper on bottom so that the overhanging clear will stick to it.
Place the clear overlaminate over the bumper sticker being careful to avoid air pockets or wrinkles. One method is to start attaching at one side and work the overlaminate down across the bumper sticker.
Once the overlaminate is flat on the bumper sticker, smooth out any bubbles with a cloth. This will maximize the contact with the sticker and make the image look nice and sharp.
Trim out the bumper sticker leaving approximately 1/4″ of clear overlaminte overhanging on all sides. This will secure the sticker from any moisture when it is on your car.
Peel the backing papers off and stick on your car.
Make sure you clean the bumper or window first and rub the sticker real good for the best adhesion.
There you go… nothing to it!
